Motion Design
2D, 2.5D & 3D animation, motion graphics, music videos and title sequences.
I move between 2D, 3D and AI-assisted pipelines depending on what the brief needs. A recent piece for a plastic bottle line was pure 3D product animation. A brand campaign the same month used style frames and AI-accelerated look-dev in ComfyUI to lock the mood before anything got animated.
Delivering CG pictures since 2006, freelance since 2012, working from Tokyo (GMT+9). Past work runs from agency campaigns for major licensed properties to independent product and brand pieces.

How a project runs
- Send the brief and referencesWhat the piece needs to do, who watches it, deadline, anything you already like the look of. A quote and a schedule come back inside 48 hours, Tokyo time.
- Lock the look on stillsStyle frames settle palette, texture and pacing before anything moves.
- Build and animateFull CG, 2D, or a mix, whatever the brief calls for. AI tools may speed up exploration here. The animation itself is hand-built.
- ReviewFirst feedback happens on a viewport preview.
- Deliver the mastersCut and encoded for whatever the release needs, vertical or horizontal, broadcast or social.
Before you ask for a quote
Do you shoot live footage?
Almost everything here is built in 2D and 3D inside the computer, with no location, no crew and no shoot day, which is what keeps a solo turnaround and one consistent art direction possible. I have some shooting and photography experience, so footage you supply can be tracked, integrated and graded into the animation.
Can you start before the product is finalized?
Yes. Style frames and blocking can begin from early CAD, sketches or even a stand-in reference product, then swap in final assets once they land. Hero close-ups are the exception. If a shot depends on surface detail, that one waits for final geometry or texture maps.
What formats do you deliver?
Everything is built mobile-first in vertical 9:16 for Reels, TikTok and Shorts, with 16:9 for YouTube and broadcast. 4K masters are standard. HDR is available on request, and clean loops get cut for Spotify Canvas and social headers.
What does it cost?
Indicative starting points are listed above. Product and explainer animation still get quoted per project, since the range between a single hero shot and a full campaign spot is wide. Send the brief and a rough sense of length and I'll come back with a number inside 48 hours. If it's a music video or lyric video specifically, those run on published packages instead: the breakdown sits on the music visualizer page.
Do you use AI in the pipeline?
Yes, where it helps. For images and look-dev I run local open-weight models (ComfyUI, Ollama), which keeps the energy cost well below cloud generation. I also work every day with Claude Code, which writes my Blender and After Effects scripts and builds my pipeline tools. Your assets and project files stay on my machine and only go into an online tool if you agree first. The animation itself is hand-built.
