Who is responsible for your data
This website, neoyume.com, is operated by Cedric Rolando, an individual sole proprietor (個人事業主 / kojin jigyō) based in Tokyo, Japan ("we", "us", "our"). We are the data controller for the personal data described below.

Because we work with clients in Japan, France and elsewhere, this policy is written to meet both Japan's Act on the Protection of Personal Information (APPI) and the EU / UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
What we collect, and why
Contact form
When you use the contact form we receive the name, email address and message you submit. We use it only to reply to you and, where relevant, to discuss a possible project.
- Purpose of use (APPI): responding to inquiries and business correspondence.
- Legal basis (GDPR): taking steps at your request before entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)), or our legitimate interest in answering messages sent to us (Art. 6(1)(f)).
Audience measurement
We use Vercel Web Analytics, a privacy-friendly, cookieless measurement tool. It records aggregate visit data — the page viewed, the referring site, your browser and device type, and a coarse country or region derived from your IP address. The IP address itself is not stored, no cookie or identifier is set, and no profile of you is built.
- Purpose of use (APPI): measuring and improving the website.
- Legal basis (GDPR): our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used (Art. 6(1)(f)). Because it is cookieless and does not track you, no consent banner is required.
Server logs
Our hosting provider keeps standard request logs (IP address, browser identification, timestamp, requested URL) for a short period to keep the site secure and to diagnose problems.
- Legal basis (GDPR): our legitimate interest in the security and reliability of the site (Art. 6(1)(f)).
Cookies and local storage
This website sets no cookies and runs no advertising or cross-site trackers. The only exception is a password-protected client preview area, which may store a single flag in your browser's session storage so you are not asked for the password again on every page; it is deleted when you close the tab.
Who we share data with
We use a small number of processors, and we never sell your data or share it for advertising:
- Web3Forms — delivers contact-form submissions to our inbox (privacy policy).
- Vercel Inc. (United States) — website hosting and the cookieless analytics above (privacy policy).
- Our email provider — stores and delivers messages sent to hello@neoyume.com.
International transfers
We are based in Japan, so if you are in the EEA or the UK your data is transferred to Japan — a country the European Commission recognises as offering an adequate level of data protection. Some processors, such as Vercel, are located in the United States; those transfers rely on Standard Contractual Clauses and/or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework as set out in each processor's data-processing terms.
How long we keep it
- Contact messages and related correspondence: up to 24 months after our last exchange, unless an ongoing project relationship requires longer, then deleted.
- Analytics: aggregate data retained by Vercel for a rolling window (about 30 days on our current plan) and not linked to you.
- Server logs: a few days to a few weeks, per our host.
Your rights
If the GDPR applies to you (you are in the EEA or the UK), you can ask us to:
- give you access to the personal data we hold about you;
- correct it or complete it;
- delete it;
- restrict how we use it;
- provide it to you, or another controller, in a portable format;
- stop processing it where we rely on legitimate interests.
You can also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority — in France, the CNIL.
Under Japan's APPI, you can ask us to disclose the personal data we hold about you, to correct, add to or delete it, and to suspend its use or its provision to third parties.
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@neoyume.com. We may need to verify your identity first, and we will respond within the period required by the applicable law (within one month under the GDPR).
Children
This site is aimed at businesses and professionals and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows the last revision, and we will note any material change here.

Termination

Disclaimer
Your use of the Service is at your sole risk. The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. The Service is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including, but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement or course of performance.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights. If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable by a court, the remaining provisions of these Terms will remain in effect. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between us regarding our Service, and supersede and replace any prior agreements we might have between us regarding the Service.
Changes
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material we will try to provide at least 30 days notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.
By continuing to access or use our Service after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms. If you do not agree to the new terms, please stop using the Service.
